She was the longest serving first lady of the United States (from March 1933 to April 1945), United States first representative to the United Nations Commission on Human Rights, First chair of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights and referred to by president Harry S. Truman, who succeeded her husband as president, as 'the First lady of the world' in glowing tributes to her human rights achievements.

Without a doubt, it is obvious that a politician, activist, diplomat and wife of such pedigree understands a whole lot about Responsibility and Freedom. Therefore, when she gives us today's weekly energizer, we ought to ponder on those words.

Everyone wants freedom, however, this freedom they fail to realize comes with responsibilities. Many expect that if you are free, then you should also be free from responsibilities. Interestingly, if this truth is not understood, you can never be free.

The quote for today's weekly energizer comes from Bob Proctor in his personal development program called The winner's choice: 12 power principles for winning the mind game. 

As part of the introduction for the second power principle called responsibility, Bob Proctor reminded us that: 

WE MIGHT EASILY DODGE OUR RESPONSIBILITY, BUT WE WILL NEVER DODGE THE CONSEQUENCES OF DODGING OUR RESPONSIBILITY.

This quote of Bob Proctor is very apt for our consideration as we begin this new week. While it might seem exhilarating after an ephemeral analysis that we are able to dodge our responsibility, the truth is that taking responsibility is where our freedom actually lies. When we take responsibility, we put ourselves in a situation where we call the shots in our own lives despite the external circumstances.

We promised that July will be focused on responsibility. Now here is the deal: the weekly energizer for August shall also continue to focus on responsibility. This is to ensure that we are able to dish out more weekly energizers on the subject of responsibility.

As we enter into the second part of the year, it is no doubt that there are many of the goals we set for 2017 which are yet unaccomplished. The fact is that the success rate, in terms of our goals, for each person is sure to be different. While it is common knowledge that several factors affect the attainment of our goals and some of these factors could be unforeseen occurrences, it is important that we allocate the largest share of responsibility to ourselves.

Taking responsibility for our thoughts, our actions, our feelings and every result in our life is an important quality that we must develop. This is the attitude of every great person and as Sir Winston Churchill rightly stated in this quote: responsibility is the price of greatness.....

Begin to take responsibility for your life beginning this week.

Some men SEE THINGS AS THEY ARE and ask WHY.Others DREAM THINGS THAT NEVER WERE and ask WHY NOT.

It is very apt that we are considering this for the new week. There are several vital points which can be gotten from this quote of Shaw if we decide to expatiate on it. However, weekly energizers from success secrets are not meant to be long epistles but rather short thought provoking boosters for the week.

As you start the week, you are going to see many things in your home, in your life, in your office, in your relationships, etc that are uncongenial. What will you do about them? are you going to fume and fuss ask why and take the victim stand or ARE YOU GOING TO GET A CLEAR IMAGE(DREAM) OF THE IDEAL THING/CIRCUMSTANCE AND UTILIZE YOUR GOD GIVEN TALENTS TO ACHIEVE THEM?

Weekly Energizer: I can and IQ

Welcome to a brand new week.

SUCCESS SECRETS WISHES YOU MORE SUCCESS IN ALL YOU DO!

Today's weekly booster is very familiar yet it is very powerful.

It behooves you to understand the underlying truth behind this simple statement. Your IQ is not a limitation imposed on your achievements. The truth is that your IQ can be developed and improved. No one has a poor IQ just an undeveloped or underdeveloped IQ. It is also important to remember that beyond IQ, there are other measures of intelligence like EQ (emotional intelligence) as well as social intelligence. If we want to stretch this further, we can even begin to talk about things like  musical intelligence(examples include those possessed by musical artistes), artistic intelligence(artists), etc.

So in synopsis, an apparently 'low'  IQ is not a serious impediment to your attainment of success. What is more important is your BELIEVE in your own abilities to succeed which MUST BE BACKED BY ACTION(PRAXIS). Truly, I CAN is more important than IQ.......
