PRINCIPAL, ENGLISH AND IGBO TEACHER VACANCIES AT SHALOM SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ACADEMY, ENUGU

SHALOM SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ACADEMY IS IN A CLASS OF ITS OWN!

It is a secondary academic institution, that has been specially designed, to address the issues at the root of the country's academic woes. That statement might sound too ambiguous so let me explain.

From the very beginning, our country has many students that have a dream to study science, technology, engineering and mathematics(STEM [for the avoidance of doubt, this includes medicine and computer]) related courses. Of course, this courses are in high demand. THE PROBLEM HOWEVER, IS THAT MOST TIMES, THE STUDENTS DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT FOUNDATION AND HENCE DO NOT KNOW/HAVE WHAT IS REQUIRED. THEREFORE, THEY STRUGGLE THROUGH THE UNIVERSITIES OR POLYTECHNICS, WHEN THEY ARE FINALLY OFFERED ADMISSION, AND COME OUT WITH AN A4 CERTIFICATE, READY TO PRESENT IT AND DO WHATEVER IS OFFERED AS A JOB.  THEY HAVE NEITHER TRUE INSPIRATION NOR SKILL. LITTLE WONDER WE HAVE EXPATRIATES WITH SIRENS DEAFEN US EVERYWHERE WHO IN THEIR COUNTRIES ARE LOWLY TECHNICIANS!!

This is where SHALOM SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ACADEMY COMES INTO THE PICTURE. The goal of shalom science and technology academy is to ensure that the students have the right foundation through expert training from a team of seasoned professionals. The Students are exposed to state of the art facilities that ensure they can start from scratch to Carry out experiments, build amazing science fair projects, and practically demonstrate every scientific concept in line with international best practices.
The residence mentors and supervisors in addition to monitoring and supervision inspire and motivate the students towards acquiring practical living skills. The school's vision and mission statement tells us all:

VISION STATEMENT
"Developing Nigeria scientifically and technologically, through early exposure of children to basic scientific and technological concepts".

Shalom Science and Technology (SSTAC) vision came as a result of it’s sister college Shalom Academy Nsukka (SAN) winning the national Olympiad competition consecutively in 2008 and 2009 in Biology and Physics respectively hence proceeded to represent Nigeria in India 2008 and Japan 2009. Unfortunately, the obvious deficiency when it came to practical implementation of biology and Physics using 21st century equipment meant that they couldn’t perform on the world stage even after scoring high on theoretical knowledge. Therefore to avoid a repeat and to ensure that the country is made proud on the next outing, the management of Shalom Schools Limited embarked on this gigantic feat by leading the way through a first of it’s kind pure science and technology academy. In the U.K. such colleges are called University Technical college (UTC).

Therefore she intends to educate and train STEM literate students who will collaborate to solve real life-national problems utilizing inquiry-based materials.

MISSION STATEMENT
SSTAC Passionately believes that by improving the development process of young people with practical knowledge of science, computer and technology for career in these fields at all levels, the future economic prosperity of Nigeria is guaranteed.

We intend to achieve this through:
Raising Godly children who will occupy professional fields (Medicine, Engineering, Computer Science, Scientist, Pharmacy, etc) in Nigeria through deligent study of theoritical and practical aspects of science, computer knowledge and technology.
